Who is this?

Who the heck is Henry Cavendish and what did you do to get his name in a text book?

He was an British sciencetist. He was the first person to recognize hydrogen gas as a distinct substance. Also he made the first accurate measurement of the density of the Earth.

Henry Cavendish was a British sciencetist that saw hydrogen gas as a distinct substance. He aslo was the first to accuratly measure the density, or its mass.

Henry was a British Scientist who used a very complex experiment to find out the value of gravity on earth. He then used his equation to find the mass of the earth. The experiment he used included two large spheres and a long rod with a ball at each end. These balls would be attracted to the spheres and Henry could measure the attraction and how far the balls moved with a light beam on a mirror.

Henry Cavendish was as British scientist known for his discovery of hydrogen or what he called "inflammable air". He described the density of hydrogen, which formed water on combustion. He described the composition of water and made the first accurate measurement of the density of the Earth.
