I believe the most important branch of physics is mechanics. Mechanics is the interaction between objects (motion). It is how objects move and react with eachother and that is very important.
I agree with Amanda. Mechanics is the base of physics and from the interaction between objects comes all the other branches of physics. Every branch uses the mechanical aspect of the mechanics in it. Nothing moves with objects and motion between them and that is all physics is about.

The most important is definantly mechanics. It is a very broad field. It covers a lot of things that affect our lives.
It's mechanics. Everything kinda has mechanics involved with it. It affects our lives everyday.
