Seat belts in cars are primarily used as a safety device. In case of an accident, the selt belt is to hold in the car and keep you from getting seriously injured. The strap accross your lap holds you in the car. The strap accross your chest restrains you from hitting the stearing wheel or dash. The best seat belts are those that lock but have a little give so it doesn't totally lock you back.

Seat belts are very important for cars. They help hold you back from flying out of a car and saving lives. The best seat belts are the one that give you a little room move around. Also when you hit something or slow down fast they lock up so you stay in your seat and don't get injuired.

The purpose of the seatbelt is to keep the passengers within the frame of the car when it is struck from any direction, no matter what outside forces cause the car to do. This means that even if the car is rolling or sliding, the passenger stays withing the vehicle. The lap belt holds you to the seat of the car so that if the car rolls you dont slam your head into the roof of the car. And the shoulderbelt also keeps you down as well as keeping you from going forward into and through the winshield or slamming your head into the steering wheel. Some are better than others based on the materials used to make the belt and the mechanism used to make the belt stay in place when an accident is occuring. the end.

They are used to help keep the drivers safely in place if in a car accident. It is designed to hold them in place without putting any extra strain on there body. The strap across the chest helps hold the person down with the lap belt helps secure them in the seat. The best seat belt is the one that is easy to get out if need be, as well as holds them firmly in place.

The purpose of the seatbelt is to restrain the body from flying forward during impact. The seatbelt goes against the momentum of the body in the car during the time of the crash. The current seatbelts usually lock and go over the shoulder as well as across the lap. These are the most common and probably the best seatbelts. These are the best because they lock while you step on the break and on impact but still give a little so that there is not so much pressure on the body.
