Procedure

Why is it important to have a plan to explain how to do things? Why can't we just wing it and see if it works?

It is important to have a plan and know how to do things so that the experiment can be repeated and any mistakes can be found. THE END

You have to be precise when preparing for experiments so you make as few mistakes as possible. You need to know the experiment and plan for it before just jumping in. The explanation needs to be accurate so the experiment is done accurately.

It is important to have a certain procedure when you do an experiment because you need to know what you are doing. Also, then you experiment can be repeated by others if something valueable is found.

It is important to do because if you make a mistake, then you can find it. If you don't you could be making the same mistakes and be wasteing time. Just winging it most times doesn't work and if it does, we don't remember how to do it.
