What did you get out of lab today?

It takes more force to lift an object than it does to move it up a ramp. If i was going to move a heavy mass i would push it up a ramp rather than lift it. You should lift with your legs to take the pressure off your lower back.

I learned that it took more force to lift the block then just pulling the block. It took 1.4 Newtons to lift the block. It took .5 Newtons to pull the block.

sliding something up a ramp takes less force then lifting someting and carrying it. pushiing and pulling stuff is easier then carrying.

We larned about the inclination in relation with the force and work. You have to do more work to pull the object when you have more inclination. You'll can't slid donw with you don't pull either.

The lesser the slope the less work that is needed to pull the block. This is why ramps are used. This is also why highways must also be a certain grade.
