Mechanical energy is the potential and kinetic energy combined. It describes the potential energy and kinetic energy present in the components of a mechanical system.
All the energy acting on a bolder falling down a hill is mechanical energy.

Mechanical energy is pot and kinetic energy combined. It says that they are present. It is wierd.

Mechanical energy is the combination of potential and kinetic energy. This means that all energy acting or present on an object are added together. Mechanical energy can help find the maximum kinetic energy level.
