It is developed into internal energy. THis would be a energy going into the object. It can be lsot through sound too.

When the mass of the object collide changed. Because the energy is going to the oject. It makes the enrgy be transformed.

The energy is lost through internal energy. That is because the object does not return to its original shape. It is also lost through things like sound and air resistance.

It can be lost through heat. Gravity can slow the objects and cause the kinetic energy to become potential energy. It can be lost through any type of friction.
