How is weight calculated? Why is it different from mass?

Fg = MAg. The A is the magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity or free-fall aceleration. Weihgt, unlike mass, is not an inheret property of an object. Weight depends on location.

Fg=MAg. Weight is measured by the pull of gravity on an objects mass. It's a combination of mass and gravity, not just mass. Mass is the matter that's their, that's why a mass can have different weights in different gravitational environments.

Wieght is the measure of grvitaional forces acting upon an object. Mass means how much matter is in an object. That means that wieght will change with the different amount of gravity.
